How Orbis is zoned

Four land plates, oceans, and other worlds — the high-level map Hypixel Studios has actually published.

Updated September 2026

The four plates

Official worldgen treats Orbis as zones with their own blocks, furniture, NPCs, plants, weather, and geology. The original four land plates are the temperate forest (Emerald Grove), desert (Howling Sands), boreal mountains (Borea), and devastated volcanic country (Devastated Lands).

Prefabs scatter through generated terrain. Portal dungeons were described early as instanced spaces; named examples on the old blog include the Temple of Gaia and the Garden of Elements. Whether every named dungeon is in the current Early Access build is a patch-note question, not something we guess.

Other worlds

Studio language includes Alterverses and, in 2026, Fragments of Orbis beyond the live map. That is a direction, not a finished dimension list. See the World chapter for the longer primer.

How Orbis is zoned

How Orbis is zoned is an original Codexgames primer for Hytale Early Access. It is meant to be read alongside the official blog and the hytale.game tutorials, not instead of them. When a patch note changes a fact on this page, we update the prose rather than leaving a stale checklist that looks authoritative.

Will this stay current after the next update?

We revise when official posts change the facts. We do not invent a new meta overnight.
